  When you really love somebody

  Can you bear to see them hurt?

  Seeing their pain and tears…

  Could make your heart churn

   

  When you turn a blind eye,

  To the feelings of the one you love

  Poking them where it really hurts with words,

  A dagger into their heart you thrust.

   

  Then it surely cannot be love

  Cause love is sensitive to hurt

  You might as well give it up

  Rather than cause any more hurt

   

  When you know there is something

  That bothers the one you love

  Protect them forever from that thing

  And prove you know what it is to love

   

  Cause love is tender, love is strong

  It is a parachute in the storm

  When it becomes a whirlpool, pulling you down

  Put out a hand, pull yourself out.
